  • Transportation to and from the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau and Ward Cove is provided

  • Minimum of 2 Guests, Max of 4 or 900lbs total Weight.

  • Max Guest Weight of 230 pounds in the rear seat of the raft and 200 pounds in the Front Seat. Guests over this limit will need to be in a separate single raft.

  • Cost of $550.00 per person

  • No Children under the age of 12

  • Guests must be comfortable walking short distances and getting on and off the aircraft with minimal assistance. Please advise, the dock can be a steep incline depending on the tide.

  • Difficulty: Moderate, no prior kayaking experience needed but not recommended for guests with mobility issues

  • Accurate weights are needed for this excursion to fit the balance and weight profile of your aircraft. Reporting inaccurate weights could result in a canceled excursion not eligible for a refund.

  • This Tour is only available from June 1st to September 15th

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel for any reason up to seven (7) days prior to the date of the tour for a full refund. Any Tours cancelled due to Mechanical Issues, Weather, or bypass of port by the cruise ship will receive a full refund.

Important information

1. Flight Duration: the flight typically lasts 25 to 30 minutes each way

3. What to Wear: Dress in layers as temperatures can vary. Wear water resistant clothing, even on nice days. Do not wear cotton, once wet it stays wet.

4. Camera/Phone: Bring a camera or smartphone with plenty of battery. The views are spectacular, and many planes have large windows for sightseeing. Large telephoto lenses do not fit well in the aircraft.

5. Wildlife Spotting: Be on the lookout for wildlife such as eagles, seals, and bears along the way. Bring binoculars if possible. We do not guarantee wildlife sightings but our keen eyed pilot will do the best to spot some for you.

6. Flight Routes: Routes may vary slightly based on weather conditions. Our pilot aims to provide the best views while ensuring safety.

7. Motion Sickness: If you’re prone to motion sickness, consider taking anti-nausea medication prior to the flight.

8. Safety Briefing: Listen carefully to the pre-flight safety briefing, as seaplane operations have some unique safety measures.

9. Weather Conditions: Flights are weather-dependent, and cancellations due to poor weather are possible. Always check with us in advance. In the event of a weather cancellation you will be refunded fully, be sure to check with us about some of our weather friendly tour alternatives.

11. Luggage: Space is limited, so only small bags are allowed. Leave large backpacks or luggage at your accommodation or we can keep them in the shop for you while on tour.

1. Do I need previous flying experience?

- No, the pilot will handle everything. You just need to sit back and enjoy the ride.

2. Will I get airsick?

- Seaplanes are generally smooth, but if you’re prone to motion sickness, you may want to take precautions.

3. How close do we get to the fjords?

- The seaplane will land in the fjords, and you’ll have the opportunity to step out on the float to experience the surroundings.

4. Are there bathroom facilities on the plane?

- No, there are no bathrooms on the seaplane. Be sure to use facilities before departure.

5. How many passengers are on the plane?

- Our Cessna 185 can hold 4 passengers, depending on weights.

6. Will I be able to take pictures during the flight?

- Yes! Our planes are designed with large windows for optimal viewing and photography.

7. What should I bring on the tour?

- Bring your camera, sunglasses, a light jacket, and a small water bottle. Avoid large bags as space is limited.

8. Is there a weight limit?

- Yes, due to aircraft limitations, passengers’ weight is considered for seating arrangements. You will be asked for your weight when booking. Our Kayaks are limited to 230 Pounds in the back seat and 200 in the front seat.

9. Is food allowed on the tour?

-Granola Bars and water are provided at the end of the Kayaking portion of the tour
